In starting FSP, we are pursuing our shared, lifelong goal to own and operate a small business in our home state of North Carolina. We are taking this step after successful careers in banking and private equity, where we’ve developed complementary skillsets in business development, management, and operations. We are self-funded and have the financial resources to close a transaction quickly on fair and flexible terms.
Alex founded FS Partners after an 8-year career in institutional real estate investing. Most recently, Alex worked in real estate asset management for The Carlyle Group, where he drove strategy and performance for over 30 investments. Prior to Carlyle, he focused on real estate acquisitions at TIAA in Charlotte, NC. A graduate of UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, Alex currently lives in Raleigh, NC and serves on the board of the Wake Stone Property Company. Alex likes to spend his free time outdoors with friends, enjoying live music, bird hunting or cheering on the Tarheels in Kenan Stadium.
